When i was like 9 my parents had an argument with my nan and she has not visited us ever since.
She sends us christmas cards, and to give us presents, what she does is knock on the door, leave the gifts on the door step, then run to her car and drive off.
Last year she didn't send me anything for christmas or my birthday so i just thought the best thing to do, seems as she never visits, phones or ever has anything to do with me, i would just forget all about her.
So like a prat when people ask i just say that my nan is dead.
Then Thursday i got a card with money it in, she had out of the blue remembered my birthday this year, so i phone her up and say thank you.
But then my dad moans at me and says that i should go round there and see how she is doing, but i mean she has not seen me since i was like 9-10 so i am going to be completly different, and when i get there alls that she is going to talk about it how much i have grown (both up and out) and how i am doing in school.
So i may have to go round there tomorrow, unless i lie, and i go down town or somehting for a few hours.
But i mean, what the hell would i say to my nan who i have not seen for years.
"Hi nan, sorry but you never bothered to come and visit me, so i never bothered to come and visit you"
But according to my dad thats not fair, well it's true though, she lives like a 5 minuet drive away, she may not like my dad but as he said to here ages ago there is nothing stopping her comming and visiting the kids.
So as far as im concerned id rather give the money back and never see her again.

Why do you have to wait for her to phone? Why don't you phone, perhaps she doesn't wasnt to phone because she fears for the attitude you have right now you selfish old git.
