Ok, the rumour started that a Resident Evil film was going to be made. Then the rumour was confirmed as being true and that the guy who did the Evil Dead films (sorry can't remember his name.....and did he do the Night of the Living Dead films as well!?!) was to direct the film.
I wasn't expecting anything big from the film and i didn't even expect the film to be good but i was going to see it at the cinema when it was released as i'm a big fan of the Resident Evil games and i would like to see how they converted the game into a film and what the story line would turn out to be as there are so many ways to complete the first Resident Evil.
Then i heard on the channel 4 game series "Bits" that the guy who did the Evil Dead films had problems with the script and has been kicked off to be replaced by the guy who directed the Mortal Kombat films!!!
Now i've heard this news i'm not even to going to watch the film at the cinema as the MK films were kinda pants and disappointing unless the film itself gets a really good review.....which is unlikely but stranger things have happened.....can't think of any at the moment!

Special Reserve have the latest on the Resident Evil film at:

I think it seems as though on the basis of this story it may not be the gorefest I was hoping for, but hey I can still Dream !

I think it should be an all out gore fest, sort of a mix of Hannibal, Final Destination and all the old horror classics!

Peronally I think the RE film will be special effects based... which, if it keeps a 'The Mummy' feel would be watchable... although an 80's Evil Dead feel would be cool :@)

Equally

The film provides a perfect opportunity to try Bill Hicks's future of film concept...

why not use terminally ill patients as the Zombies?!?

I think they should get an all star cast to play the roles of the characters from the game (that way the acting will be just as tacky!). I think Leonardo Di Caprio should play Leon Kennedy and should be eaten in the opening scene! Clair could be played by Sandra Bullock, hmmm it could be good, especially if they get the crew of the film Hannibal to help them out a little with the script.

Hey Anthony Hopkins could make a guest appearance as Zombie Number 53,

Oh any Directors reading Ill be a Zombie for Free

Uuurgghhh sghagh Uurgghghghh Brrraaaainnns uurghrhghhh

See im perfect for the role!
