Of course it's not so much of a problem in England because most shops stock a wide veriety of music, but I've heard in some parts of the US it's desperately hard to get hold of some types of music. Which is why England has taken so much longer reacting to the situation. I think there's a law now that you could get two years for file sharing, but I really doubt that's going to be upheld.
My guess is as soon as they manage to shut down file sharing (or as much as they're going to) most of the American music industry will go under, and I can't wait to see it happen. Why? Because so many people aren't going to pay up £12 for a new album that they've heard only one song from. It could be full of rubbish with the one decent song already released as a single.
I always download songs all the time...
I then buy most of the albums they belong to.
in fact nine times out of ten I already have them!
Basically because if i was seen buying classical music, i would get beaten up.
