I was doing really well and then the rebels ripped my Empire apart and it collapsed around me.

My brother has this, he was playing for hours but then the game suddenly stopped and he was returned to the windows desktop. Boy was he mad.

Shogun may just be my most played game of all time.
I conquered the whole of Japan without fighting a single battle that wasn't against rebels. I used Geishas to disband all the other clans and just hoovered up the rebels with my massive armies.
But this is nothing when compared to the time that I defended a territory against 1000+ enemies with just a unit of archers and a unit of Yari Samurai.
I funneled their entire army through a bridge and slaughtered them all as they emerged, whilst raining down arrows on all the soldiers stuck on the bridge. It was the greatest victory of all time.
