As you may have heard, Windows 7 is coming this October. All who've used the beta say it's so much better, faster, stronger (!) than Vista.
Well, if you have Vista and want to change get to Amazon as soon as possible. They're running a promotion with Microsoft to pre-order the full version of Windows 7 for a 3rd of the retail price.
Currently the premium is £45 (normally £150). You can order 3 copies maximum, but even if you only have 1 PC it's worth thinking about to make some money in october when the software is released and the prices are back to their RRP.

So, are you getting it? Is this a good deal? Have you tried Windows 7 beta already?
Windows 7 RC
You can also still sign up for the Windows 7 RC test if you're sure about installing pre-release software and fancy having Windows 7 before release.
It's basically the next stage from Beta testing, where users have tested for bugs in the software and Microsoft have (hopefully) ironed out most of the issues found.
As this is still pre-release you need to take into account the fact that you may have to fix issues yourself and make backups of important data just in case. That said, this has already been tested extensively, so there is far less chance of it going wrong.
It's also a good chance to help Microsoft make a better Windows version for the final retail release, so any help they get will benefit end users eventually.
