The whole place was silent, and the sky just came down. And I cried forever, because it was so nice.
And the moon, and the stars, and everything. I was there, I could see the world collapse and I couldn't be happier.
And then I was somewhere else and it was quiet now but not silent and I saw the sky so blue. I couldn't believe it, I've seen it a thousand times before but today as I stood still and looked high up I saw how huge this land we live on is and; I felt whole.
Grass swayed around my feet and petals of flowers flew on a gentle wind I can only describe as perfect. I looked shyly at her, and she disappeared.
Under the water I went and the night was coming, the final night for the collapse of all we take for granted. It was so pretty to see it all fall. The grand sky which I admired every day undulated so ideally and I could see the wrongs of my life in the ripples. The smile on my face was wide : there was nowhere I'd rather be.
It was silent again. Fire roared around me but nothing could be heard. Peoples mouths opened to scream but nothing came out and as men, women and children all fell to the ground in the end I walked away. The fabric of everything I once assumed correct, time and place, was distorted. I move so fast yet so slow. The people I knew and loved all came in and out of the reflections.
I saw her again, but she was far away now. I try to catch her, but the ripples stopped me. Futile as it was, I persevered. But after so long, I had to walk away, did I not?
I'll never give up reaching out to the ripples in my dreams. Maybe I'll forget about them and her sometimes, but at somepoint every day it shall be remembered. I cannot stop it.
And as the moon and the sun and the stars all quietly died, I laughed. A billion dead around me, a billion more elsewhere. I never knew how I survived and I probably never will. The end was so inevitably close but fate tricked me.

A petal came on the wind today. I dreamt it, maybe.

Don't ask for any sort of explanation, it's just how I felt and thought when I heard the music and reflected back on stuff. Thanks for reading if you did.
I was about to ask you what it was from until I realised it was actually you. I'll remember a few of those lines.
Thanks Ms NY.
