Well dont use Gamespy. Online games have their own servers. All the ones i've played I havent experienced lag. My friend has 2 computers connected to 1mb and then play at the same time with no lag.

Well dont use Gamespy. Online games have their own servers. All the ones i've played I havent experienced lag. My friend has 2 computers connected to 1mb and then play at the same time with no lag.
Yes sometimes I enjoy it then I get bored.

Strategy games on the other hand are a different story (providing cheaters don't spoil the experience).
Playing [F]irst[P]erspective[G]ames ie: Counter-Strike, over the net is soooo unfun. I have a 1mb ADSL connection and still latency is a big issue. I think the main problem comes from the fact I'm playing against people with 'cable' connections and they eat ADSL users for breakfest. Even a 156k cable connection is more responsive/faster than 1mb ADSL. I get so depressed playing CS and other games like it because of this reason.
