It was announced about a month ago, but I have decided to write about it....The Star Wars Trilogy + Episode 1 are going to be shown on Sky Movies for the first time ever. Why George Lucas has decided to do this? I don't know, maybe the films arn't selling like they used to or something. If this is true, it's only took Episode 1: The Phantom Menace around two years to stop selling, this shows the true quality of the film.

I'm not quite sure of the order of the fims; if they show episode 1 first or the trilogy but all will most likely be the Saturday Premier. Here, for all you people who haven' seen it, the films that Sky will be showing:-

Star Wars Episode 4: A New Hope

A New Hope basically setts the scene for the trilogy, introducing the main characters such as Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Han Solo and Princess Leia. Nothing major happens in this episode apart from the Darth Vader killing Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Star Wars Episode 5: The Empire Strikes Back

The Empire Strikes back is my personal favourite out of the trilogy for a few reasons. The main one being the introduction of Yoda (my favourite Star Wars character) and involvement of the Imperial Walkers in the battle scene in the middle of the film. It also involves the first Light Sabre battle between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader where Luke is weak and loses his hand. This film shouldn't be missed.

Star Wars Episode 6: Return Of The Jedi

The final episode of the widely acclaimed trilogy, most important part of the film is the deaths of Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine. The best scene of the trilogy is in this film where Luke and Darth face off for the final showdown. The music emphasises the passion involved and it is really a joy to watch. Second best of the trilogy.

Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace

Episode 1: The Phantom Menace... I went to the cinema twice to see this and I have it on video (I have the trilogy on video aswell :D) and I never get tired of watching this film! The improvement of technology over the last 20 years really shines through when you compare Episode 1 to Episode 4. Some of the effects will blow your mind away. This film should not be missed! Take my advice, set the VCR aswell.

In conclusion I recommend that all films are viewed and if you are not fourtante enough to have access to sky, I think you should ask a friend/relative to tape these films for you because you will not regret it!

In the Sixth Sense, it turns out Bruce Willis died at the beginning, and was actually a ghost... :)
