I know it's been discussed throughout the forum but this up and coming bundle is yet another prime example of Nintendo pushing the Gamecube in the west this Christmas. Advertisement campaigns, a price drop and loads of top quality software apparently isn't enough... Nintendo have to go and top Microsoft's console bundle as well.

For those that don't know Nintendo are releasing (like Zelda, Mario Sunshine and Metroid Prime) a special Mario Kart bundle pack in Europe. Nintendo are to bundle the upcoming Mario Kart: Double Dash!! with the Gamecube for a mere £99.99 which is a massive £20 saving...

But that's not all.

The recent obsession with free Bonus discs is appearing again this time with a special editon Zelda disc. No it isn't the crappy Master Quest bonus disc bundled with Wind Waker, but a far cooler collection of Zelda classics. They include:

The Legend of Zelda
The Legend of Zelda II: The adventure of Link
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
The Legend of Zelda: Marjora's Mask
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker Demo

Right I'm ignoring the fact I already own all of the above games and still getting very excited. The thought of playing the greatest Zelda ever in the form of Majora's Mask once again is really exciting. I'm also going to ignore the absence of 4 other official Zelda games.

But this is a fantastic gaming deal and is sure to cause another surge in Hardware sales. Yes temporaraly but this will grow Nintendo's userbase and possibly secure a great Christmas position.

It'll be a Zelda christmas after all.

Dringo.

Oh no. If you can name a more moving and Dark Zelda game than Majora's Mask I'll concede but you can't. The atmosphere in what has to have been the most sad, depressing and addictive Zelda games of all time is second to none.

The bundle with Mario Kart for £99.99 is fantastic but to throw in a bonus disc that not only include 4 classic titles (not old... classic) but also a demo of one of Gamecube's greatest games.

It's a great deal.

It may be released in other forms but it is a good bundle.

I've always prefered ALttP to OoT. People would blinded by the leap into 3D. Yes, it is an amazing game. A brilliant game. But ALttP is better, it's amazing.

Still Majora's Mask is the best.

Majora's Mask - greatest Zelda game ever? I don't think so, Dringo. Probably Ocarina of Time first and then A Link to the Past. But hey. Back to the bundle. It's a great deal in my eyes, but I can't help thinking that the inclusion of the official Memory Card 59, which they're stopping production of, would have made it the perfect pak. It'd be a nice way to end the life of that card.

WW and SMS came out aaaaggges ago. Everybody would complain if Mario Kart and F-Zero weren't bloody well redone!

Whats super original about XBoxs/PS2s Christmas line up? PGR2? Rainbow Six 3? Obviously there are plenty of new titles on both, but all 3 consoles have a mix of old-new and new. Viewtiful Joe, True Crime, Billy Hatcher, XIII etc. All original.
