The "General Games Chat" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
Paragon Publishing and Future Publishing are all co-owned by the Games Developers, and so everytime they think about bringing out a new game, they get their magazine division to start hyping it, sometimes YEARS in advance, to promote sales.
They get lots of feedback this way through their surveys both on and off line, and so can control the buying public through which screen shots and which articles they decide to include in their magazines.
So companies like EA, Konami, SquareSoft, Rare et.al. have been secretly building up shares in these privately owned companies, jockeying for power and column inches, all unbeknownst to the unwitting gaming readers.
Even worse, shares in EA, Konami, SquareSoft, Rare et.al. are being snapped up on the blackmarket by the console manufacturers, especially Microsoft, who have started to secretly insert 'X's all over the magazines, like in the ISBN number on the back cover, and starting to use Roman Numerals instead of page numbers to get even more 'X's in view, thereby subliminally taking over our minds and ensuring that the XBox will be sold out at launch by gamers who have been exposed to this underhand sales tactic.
Next Week: Bill Gates and his role in Alien Abductions.
