I've had XP for a few days on my new laptop :) and already I've found a couple of bugs. The biggest one is when you switch between profiles - it goes really really slow, almost crashing, and doesn't seem to recover. Obviously you can just log off profiles and then switch, which works fine, but that defeats the point of having the option in the first place!

Has anyone else experienced this? What other bugs have you encountered with XP?

Also, could my problems be down to the virtual memory? I haven't got round to fiddling with the new fangled control panel yet, so it's still at the factory settings. Suggestions?

You can never have enough RAM.

Worst. Spelling. Ever.

Cheers, but I already knew that. And the laptop has 512 Mb RAM, which is more than enough.

My PC used to have that problem, would sometimes crash when you tried to switch between the profiles.

Works fine now though and I have no idea what we did to sort it out.

I take it you have downloaded all the service packs etc from the windows update?
