I thought this was another great P.T.A film, but hell does it make you think. The beginning was fantastic with the three stories, really got you going and ready for what you know is going to be a challenging and long film. I also really liked the scene when the old dying man was talking about regret and it turned to a voice over on top of silent shots of all the characters. And Tom Cruise was great, I read he was good in it but I didn't expect anything like that.

I know some of you have seen it but I forget if you liked it or not. So opinions? And what's your thoughts on the frogs? Looking into the forum at imdb.com I read that throughout the film there's reffrences to Exodus 8:2 in the Bible. Simple things like the 82% chance of rain screen and on bus stops etc. So it could be interperated to relate to the bible. Other people had ideas of it being about how weird, unexplainable things just happen and they effect the state of things.

Yeah, I enjoyed it.

The Exodus bit is just a reference to the frogs - another cliche plied on top of the many others, or maybe its more urban myth than cliche. The message - you need to let go to move on, cliche. All actions have consequenses, some huge, some small. The opening three quasi-legends are the extreems of this, as are the frogs.

Then there's the contrast with the other end of the scale, it's a rich tale that weaves together so many elements, the frogs ultimately bind the lot together along with their common problems. The characters all want to be free, bringing us back to Exodis 8:2.
