"Why the PSX Was The Most Succesful Console Ever"

I got a PlayStation about 5 years ago, and ever since then gaming has been my biggest hobbie.

The first game that I ever really got into was the wonderful Tekken. I would stay in my room, playing Tekken for hours on end, sometimes not stopping for food or drink!
Then I got a few more games, a few more, a few more and a few more!! Over the last 5 years I've spent most of my free time playing on that grey rectangular box.

There are soooo many games out for the PlayStation it's unbelievable!! Most of them are way over average, yet some, 4-4-2 Soccer for instance, are some of the worst games I've ever played. But who cares about them!?!? There are so many good ones, it doesn't really matter.

A couple of years ago, I got Metal Gear Solid, probably the best game I've ever played. I couldn't believe how just a mere video game could bring so much pleasure!!

Other PSX favourites of mine are Gran Turismo 2, Syphon Filter 2, Final Fantasy 7 and Tekken 2/3.

You can now get a PlayStation and a few games for less than £100!! If you do not have a decent console at the moment, and you don't have that much money to spare, I would recommend getting a PlayStation, and then waiting for the PS2, GameCube or X-Box to go down in price.

You can now also get top class games such as the ones I've mentioned above, and many more, for around £20 or less!!

I now have a PS2, yet I still play some of my old PSX games, due to how brilliant they were!!

If you want hours and hours of gaming fun, then get a PlayStation.

nintendo have alot of expierence i can't argue with that.I've still own my NES because it has all the platform classics and had alot of fun on the snes but I've grown up.

but first of all i'm an ex "greystation" owner but kept my favourite games and now own a PLAYSTATION 2 and DREAMCAST.If your trying to argue about the PSone's graphics or the squares as you people call them,I play the old games with TEXTURE MAPPING on the ps2 and the sharpness will blow anyone away.

Yes the "64" has RE2 64 and Wipeout 64 but cartridges don't have the capability of CD music,proper FMV, REAL analog and dual shock.not some rumble thing that swings more than shakes and they don't even compete with the PS versions so don't fool yourself.

The scores all over 90% what the Flip do you expect in a n64 mag some bozo gave mario 100% i don't think so, and don't call me an idiot because i'm not the one playing kiddie 3D run around games with pokemon red,blue,green,trading cards,pinball at £50 a game and EVEN pikawank on the bleeding console.

PSone is 7 years old but even so it still manages to woop the "64" in any area you'll be able to think of, except for people under 18 months old who don't know any better than to look at the console as a toy(which explains the pokemon on it).

head down to your nearest Electronics boutique and ask them to pop SSX or the gran turismo Aspec demo in their PS2 for you and you'll flush your 64 along with Nintendo.
SSX is soon to be re-released on DVD and the rest are now been put on DVD and rarefire,excuse me but look at the amount of companies that support Sony!!!

give up trying to diss the PSone because it's over and Sony won,Nintendo tryed to make a console with Sony once and then they chose panasonic and made the Naff 64.

To this day i can't think of any worse mistake.but if they had gone with Sony we wouldn't have had the playstation.

DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT STARTING WITH GAMECUBE VS PS2 YOU VANKER.

GAMCUBE LOOKS AND IS A TOMY TOY AND IS JUST NAFF GAMES WITH MARIO WHO RUNS LIKE LUIGI HAS STUCK THAT PLUNGER IN THE WRONG PLACE ONLY THIS TIME WITH SLIGHTLY BETTER GRAPHICS.

I was being sarcastic, i notice the post of yours i was refering to has been deleted.

ok, residentevilfan first of all you may think that resident evil and wipeout were among the best games on the psx but the n64 has resident evil 2 and wipeout anyway and they are much better than the psx versions as they have better graphics and far better sound. Secondly, yes there were games without full speech, but that was in the early years when certain developers coudnt be bothered with it because the games were already good enough without it, but it was still capable of "full speech" even then, and now nearly all games on the n64 have full speech, i.e Perfect Dark, Conkers Bad Fur Day, and tons of others have full speech and can manage it a hell of a lot better than any greystation game!
And thirdly (and finaly) Nintendo have been around a hell of a lot longer than fony and have years upon years of experience in making games and all fony can vouch for is about 5-6 years whereas Nintendo have about 25 years (if not more) of making games and have always do and always will have the second best games company working for them, oh i suppose you dont know who i'm talking about cos your a Greystation owner! I'm talking about Rareware you idiot and they have made some of the best games ever, oh whats that I here you say? you dont know what games they have made? well here they are then,(in alpha-beta-cle order) Banjo Kazooie,
Banjo tooie, Blast Corps, Conkers Bad Fur Day, Diddy Kong Racing, Donkey Kong 64, Goldeneye 007, Jet Force Gemini, Killer Instinct Gold, Mickeys Speedway USA, Perfect Dark, and a whole load more top-quality games that all scored (including the ones above) over 90% if not more.
So conclusivly I would just like to say that NINTENDO ALWAYS HAVE BEEN, STILL ARE, AND ALWAYS WILL BE THE BEST GAMES COMPANY IN THE WORLD EVER AND ALL FONY'S CONSOLES, AND GAMES ARE ALL FLIBBLE, AND ANYONE WHO SAYS THAT THAT
LARGE ORANGE PANTS THAT EVER WALKED THE EARTH GREYSTATION IS BETTER THAN THE N64 IS AN IDIOT AND WILL HAVE TO ANSWER TO ME!

The playstation is a masterpiece, i can't really say why but here are a couple of reasons.It had nearly all the great game on it "Resident evil,Metal gear solid,Ridge racer,silent hill,Wipeout,final fantasy,Abe,tomb raider" and loads more but the games had great graphics except for the ones which had more squares than your maths exercise book but they were only a few down the line.The sound was a huge breakthrough with cd quality and crystal clear voices to go with the acting where as the square headed 64 had just dialogue to go with it's cartoon characters. The playstation had the best games,the best hardware and is the best console in gaming history.

Could you have anymore swear words. You obviously hate it but as they say its not the console, its the games and ya don't see n64's with final fantasy 8 but ya don't see a psx with zelda on it. My point is that there are good games on every console and the playstation may not be as good as the n64 but it has some good titles.

There are at least 40 brilliant 90%+ games on the N64, and I got a lot of games for a mere £10-£20- And they all looked far better than PSX games. Since when could a Playstation manage view to the horizon graphics in Jet Force Gemini, while having a huge game as well?

i know why any cause the game cubes not out yet!

The reason N64 games are so high in price is because of Sony creating a Microchip shortage!!!

Anyway there were plenty of good quality N64 games! In fact out of all the games my bro's got, only one is bad quality, and that's hexen!

And my bro's got loads of N64 games!
