"I just got emailed a virus"

After about 5 days of no emails - due to unforeseen problems - it finally gets working again and what's the first email I receive?

"This is a very funny game, you're the first player, I hope you like it" and attached is a small JPEG of someone sat at a beachside café and a file, KITTY.EXE. Of course, I right-click the executable and select 'Scan' and - hey presto: it's a virus.

*clicks 'Delete'*

If it's ever been posted on a forum or web page anywhere, the chances are that it's been spidered off.

That's what happend to me. I think it was the dad of one of my freinds account... Why he had my email adress i don't know. Although it could have got to me because outlook express can store all the MSN adresses.

Yeah, almost all the ones I get sent are actually sent through other people's addresses - usually people on my contact list.

I get loads of spam each day but this was one of the first where I wasn't too sure and so had to investigate. The sender's name was similar to someone I know, you see.

I've only got one virus before which was a sobig virus (not f because it was before f)

But yeah, they can get really annoying just constantly flooding in - I just hit the delete button straight away.
