Believe it or not, we're half way through 2009 already (scary, isn't it!?)

So what have you played so far which ranks above anything else? What's your best and worst game so far of 2009?

My best game so far has got down to 3 choices, it either has be Red Faction Gurrilla, Street Fighter IV or Ghostbusters. They all offer different experiences but they're all really good at what they do (even if I'm still finding myself sucking at SFIV quite a bit!).

I have to go with Final Fantasy 7.....what? It was released on PSN this year :P

But seriously I think Resi Evil 5 was probably my favourite. Although I have not bought many games to be honest.

Have just bought Sacred 2 however and I'm bordering obsessed.

Games I'm waiting for:

Final Fantasy 13 (released Dec '09 Japan, Spring '10 Europe)
The White Knight Chronicles (sometime this year)

Streetfighter IV and Guitar Hero Metallica are my choices.Still haven't played Ghostbusters, will get onto it next week.

2009 has been a lame year for games so far IMO but the second half of it looks really good.Forza 3,Modern Warfare 2,Left 4 Dead 2 and Tekken 6 all look very promising, even if they are all sequels.

Maybe not 2009 releases, but:

Rock Band 2
Fable 2
Fallout 3
Braid

have kept me on my 360 for months. RB2 is the most polished and varied music game I've played yet. Fable 2 one of the most beautiful, and although not a perfect action game, or a perfect RPG, it still caught me for 40+ hours. Fallout 3 is the FPS for RPG fans. Braid is just incredible - even with the 'pretentious' writing.

I've not been bowled over yet by any games this year to be honest... Bioshock 2 will be up there, as will DJ Hero I hope. Just need to wait and see..

Red Faction has been a great claim and has been a really anjoyable game so far - GTA on Mars with more smashing and a great Online side (my summary for those who don't know about it - a full review will come when i complete it)

Prototype - Was enjoyable and refreshing to have such an open game which offered a darker plot and some great upgrade and new abilities like running up walls and gliding - but the game does tire and the missions become repetitive. Still a good game with a nice plot and game play (controls work well too!)

Games like FIFA 09 and Naruto Broken Bond which were very end of 2008 i really enjoyed and have played a lot!

There were some games that let me down - SFIV being one of them (waiting for some abuse!) I am not a massive Beat em up fan and it was such a hard game to get into. I can see the appeal and why so many of you love it, but i traded it within a month.

Nice idea for a post pb and i look forward to see what games others can come up with. Also wondering what games are you all waiting for in the 2nd half of the year???

Mine would have to go(not in order);

Leaft 4 Dead 2
Call of Duty 6
FIFA 10
Battlefield Bad Company 2

Plus more im forgetting im sure!
