Nevermind the fact that AVP sounds like an update on a classic convenience shop rather than a long awaiting team-up/battle movie. This trailer is awful, and will get more laughs than Freddy vs. Jason."

This is why so many ancient civilizations have been wiped out; Predator hunting failures."

yep I agree it probably will be pants, even though it physically hurts me to say it. I loved both series of those films, and the books were ok too.

Bah, at least the books showed a little respect to the human race, whereby we are the forbidden fruit, the prey that only the elite are permitted to hunt, as we're quite capable of fighting back and, as the two movies to date show, beating them.
Aliens vs Predator is a movie of the kind "it can't go wrong, but somebody will somehow find a way". The books were good because the storylines were set in the 'Aliens' movie universe, and so humans were spacefaring planet colonizers, and just happened to start inhabiting the wrong planets, with the predators coming along for the ride.
I'll watch the movie, if ever there is one to watch, but I fully expect it to be balls.
