I had one of those really horrible days today. I'm really down in the dumps now. Anyone else had a lousy day?

Yes, yes I did. It was about my fourth in a row. Monday and Tuesday I was at school doing rehearsals for bands performing in our big school music evening thing on Wednesday, so stayed until about 7 o clock both these days - I'm a sound techie, so take the flak when anything goes wrong. Tuesday was the best example of this, when every other person on the sound team buggered off and I had to single handedly mic up a 12 piece band doing a ska cover of YMCA, using the only 4 microphones available, then sort all their levels while sitting at a desk behind the speakers and unable to sound check any one of them because all the others were playing over anything I was trying to check. Doesn't work. Then got bitched at for ages for being unable to perform this task.

Wednesday itself I didn't leave school from 8:30 in the morning to 23:00 that night, my 2 hours break between school ending and bands coming in to sound check was spent getting the crap kicked out of me learning about stage fighting, and doing it with people who've never tried before can be a painful experience. Thought today would be a nice break, but the drama department decided that we actually need even more rehearsals for the worst production of Romeo and Juliet ever, modernised with Skaters VS Barries, so I got held after school for another 2 hours of watching people breakdance at the Capulet party. Seriously, I can't take any more of these Run DMC style dance-offs..

So, net result of those few days was much exhaustion and no time at all for friends, girlfriend, internet, and the like. Yes, a techie with a girlfriend, how novel. Up ridiculously late writing essays for various subjects and currently ploughing through a German oral presentation which was due to be done a week ago. Crap few days, but should be looking up soon. Oh, except Turbonutter's coming to stay this weekend, no good can come of that ;)

Is that like pharmacology (the effects of drugs on the human brain)? My mate did a degree in that - he was his own test subject :D

Semester 1 - September - end of exams in January
Semester 2 - Start of term from end of exams until exams in May/June

Term 1 - September - December
Term 2 - January until mid term in (I think) April/End of March
Term 3 - April - Last exam

That's how it is where I am anyway.
