Don't know whether or not to watch it - they had a similar affair for reloaded and I opted to miss it, as it'd ruin the film.
Will probably do the same with this one.
I already have my ticket booked for friday the 7th.

Yup, you can tell that from when Neo gets the pole, it pretty much turns CG (except for the part when the pole starts bending when the Smiths are holding it)
The way Joel Silver hypes everything is great though. I still remember when he claimed Enter the Matrix will be one of the "Best Games Ever".
A tottally retarded looking bird with an eyepatch, and an army of really terribly steriotyped japanese shcoolgirl ninjas/assasins (Yeah right, bring on the fat buys in Crouching tiger hidden dragon with the ballons on sticks.)
It was the 'Go home to yur mothar' clip which clinched it though.
Good luck whoever's going to see it though.
Well I really just think it is a lot of computer graphics, stunt doubles and martial arts all chucked into one very repetitive scene of Neo hitting the same guy over and over again.
Kill Bill however was simply brilliant. Apart from the fact the scene was huge instead of Neo just fitting loads of peeps in the middle occassionally going to the sides to get a weapon or when he's hit. Uma however ends up running around the entire room finding new and interesting ways to kill each person. Much more impressive than that. Apart from anything else the CG in the Matrix really isn't that good. You can totally tell the difference between Neo, Stunt Double Neo and CG Neo. I think it's lucky to be called average.

Care to answer the question?
The Matrix is much more of a special fx movie than Kill Bill so of course it would have a bigger budget, with Tarantino wanting more 'authentic' wire work hence his diatribe on how The Matrix was 'killing' movies a while ago.
Uma Thurman is just sword fighting a load of ninjas from what I've seen in the trailer, whereas the Burly Brawl sees Neo fighting all Agent Smiths with some pretty spectacular set pieces. Of course the Kill Bill fight could be better but that doesn't automatically make the Burly Brawl less than average.
And yeah, Joel Silver gets a bit over excited. Although he bought the rights to Altered Carbon \m/

You do realise that it is rumoured that Kill Bill Vol.1 and 2 were both shot for 2/3's of the SFX budget on The Matrix Reloaded. This not only shows up the Wachowski brothers but the scene in which Neo fights a thousand Agent Smiths. When Uma kills an entire army of assassins it not only makes the Neo/Smith scene look timid but no more than a glorified fight scene that really doesn't take the biscuit just the budget.
LOL

Not sure how you can call the Burly Brawl and/or the Freeway scene 'average, if that'.
The Matrix Reloaded however just...wasn't. It had a very poor plot that involved a very poor love story between Neo and Trinity and Neo got into a fight every other minute. NOTHING more than average, if that. If the Matrix Revolutions is worse than that then it truly will be a sad day for the movie making industry but until I've seen it I'm just going to hope against hope that it wont be as bad as I am expecting.
