This is an appeal for all of you to download a piece of revolutionary software that will help treatment of man's most feared Diseases; HIV, AIDS, Cancer (im supporting THAT one), Biological weapon viruses, and etc.
WHY am i supporting it? because i FEEL as though every bit of data, every job and every task i complete is a small building block to a breakthrough, and personally i think that much more than 5 people can support the special reserve team on

www.Find-A-Drug.co.uk

The software, by Oxford University, helps do what scientist perform in the quest for cures. Your PC is sent multiple queued tasks to complete, and once done, the data is sent back to the server, eventually becoming part of grueling tests and experiments to strike a cure. The program contains no spyware, and simply sits in the corner of your PC, and uses the leftover CPU time to do it's tasks. this means that it does not actually TAKE any power. this means, gamers, that you will not even know it's running.

Please Help the cause and download Find-A-Drug, from

www.find-a-drug.co.uk

from the main page, it's simple to get the software. And, once running, you can be part of the SR team, Currently consisting of me, Notorious Biggles, Ortega, Cid Vilante, and HedFix. Surely we can do more.
How do you join the team?
Once running, Right click on the little white icon at the bottom right, and choose setup, then in the general tab, type in -

in the team number box. if you join, we will know - your name will be up with ours, and you'll be recognised as a person who really believes in the cause.

We can't do anything about any impending asteroid collisions...

But we could help to wipe out major diseases before, maybe, your Mother or Father, girl-friend dies from one of them...

In a few years you may have a kid of your own, who may be fortunate enough to contract one of these diseases, and as you watch them waste away, as their cheeks hollow, their unblinking eyes searching with a wild, startled fear, unable to comprehend what they did to become aflicted with sunch enduring pain, as you hold their hand in the hospital watching feeling their pulse slow to a close after their final breath has passed their lips, and die in front as you sit by their bed, you can always rest comfortably in the knowledge, that at least you did your bit for the X-Files ;)

heh, that'd be a good angle to plug to the government in order to get more money for such projects :)

Nah, I have many views on disease, I realise it is a terrible thing, I have known several people die of cancer for example, but there are like you say billions of pounds devoted to it, whereas other organisations get stiffed on funding.

I'd be interested in a screensaver that could scan data with the goal being to detect impending destruction via asteroids.

Biggles posted about this, like Borat I'm more bothered about E.T's than something which already has billions of dollars comitted to it, plus if we find life they might know it all anyway :D

I don't think I'll download it. For Christ's sake, we have the NHS to deal with all this.

been told about this, you may find this cold but I prefer to have seti@home running on my machine - I'm more interested in the search for extraterrestrial intelligence than a cure for diseases.
