A terrified child,
A muffled cry,
And a blood stained wall.
And that was the rite of Semati
The short and delicious,
Rite of the Semati.
And so every year,
On the same blood-stained date,
The sacrifice was completed,
Keeping balance throughout.
And Davidus saw this,
Though his unseeing eyes,
And took to the skies on his scarred ragged wings,
From the dank lonely building.
And Davidus flew,
For days and hours,
To reach the city,
Of corruption and filth.
And he reached this city,
And razed it with fire,
Not a soul escaping,
His consuming wrath.
And Semati felt this,
In the roots of his power,
And was borne to earth,
As a seething rabble.
And the titans met,
On the city crushed,
And Semati bellowed,
For his lost believers,
And lashed at Davidus,
With a scum-encrusted claw,
He caught mighty Davidus,
With a cut to his chest,
And the blood of a god flowed,
And the ground it touched,
sprouted all manners of beauty,
And Davidus grasped,
With both his hands,
The Wings of Semati,
And tore them from him.
With a deft kick,
Semati went crashing,
And hit the ground,
With a loud, dull thud.
And Davidus drove,
With all his strength,
His taloned foot,
Through the heart, of Semati.
And he took the broken body,
To the gate of mount olymus,
Where he threw it down,
And Cried;
