"Reloaded DVD ... I caved!"

Okay, so I was gonna wait for the trilogy boxset before muying any more Matrix DVDs but when my mate said he could get it me for £13 it was too much to resist.

I've just connected my DVD player to my amplifier and positioned the speakers so I can sit in line with the TV and get the best soundstage. My setup isn't surround sound but my amp is one of the best stereo one's for it's time and the speakers have more kick than a rather angry mule.

The missus has arranged to stay away for a few hours ("I don't wanna watch explosions and women in leather!") and she's taking the dog with her.

All I need now is some tissues ...

We did split up but, after all the anger died down and I stopped acting like I didn't care, we sat down and talked. We both admitted we'd done and said bad things but then we promised each other we'd make a bit more of an effort and give it another go.

So far it's going well; it's different to how it ever was before. We slipped into a rut pretty quick when we first got together and ended up resenting each other for it but now we spend more time apart during the day and it helps alot.

I can see why you said that but, believe me, I've spent most of my adult life trying get as little attention as possible and be treated like everyone else.
