I am trying to decide what AGP card to get and wondered if anyone knows what the performance of the PowerColor Radeon 9200 256MB card is like?
Is it worth the £70? Will it run Doom3, Halo or Half-Life2?

I would personnally get the 9600 Pro. As Sniper as already said the amount of RAM isnt too important. 128mb to 256mb is not too much of a difference. The 9200 is a low spec card that is ok for people who want to have a graphics card at a cheap price, but playing the latest games at a high detail and at a decent frame rate is out of the question. If you want to play Halflife 2 and Doom 3 and havent got much money at the moment then wait till the games actually come out. Halflife 2 wont be out til around April 2004, Doom 3 I dont know when thats out. Halflife 2 is also going to be packaged with some of the Radeon cards so it might be worth waiting and get a nice 9600 Pro or even the super fast 9800 Pro and see if you can get the game packaged at the same time.

I wouldnt get a powercolor either.

But thats just me.

What do you have at the moment? I would get a 9600 really Memory size doesn't make a difference at all as long as its 128mb.
