Can't watch it for another hour or so, no idea if it's any good or not

From a script review I read it suggested that as a stand alone zombie film it had huge potential, but it simply wasn't Dawn of the Dead. I can't believe they'd even try to remake it...?
I did, however, see the trailer to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre yesterday, and it looks like it could be one of those movies that both sucks and blows at the same time.
I saw no disabled member in their party. How can it be the Texas Chainsaw Massacre without wheels getting chopped up? Plus they pick up a girl in their van, not a twisted lad.
And it's trying to sell it on the fact that it is 'based on a true story'.
Complete balls.
*Shudder*
> Yeah, but the remake of Night had Tom Savini behind it. Dawn
> has.....actually who is the director?
According to the IMDB, that honour falls to Zack Snyder, who by the looks of it has previously directed...er...nothing at all (unless you class TV adverts, which I don't).
Fast zombies, teens in peril, jump-moments?
Bah. And no mention of Romero, although I did spot "Office Tom Savini" in the news broadcast
After watching the trailer again I'd say it doesn't look like an okay film, it looks like a load of crap and I doubt I'll be bothering with it.
Zombies jumping around and snarling like vampires? almost Aliens like scenes in a car park with flashlights and shotguns?
Pffffffft
The thing i loved about the originals is how slow the Zombies stagggered around. On there own they didn't pose a massive threat but in large groups you were pretty much breakfast, lunch and dinner. So far it's looking more like Return of the Living Dead set in a shopping mall.
I'll watch it, but to call it Dawn of the Dead remake is just stupid.

I'm there. Ving Rhames is The Man.
