"What my job has done for me"

Some time ago these forums were blocked by those nasty web security people, drastically reducing my ability to post on these forums.

There was a time that I was able to get around it, and still read discussions posts, but then that stopped too.

Not only that, they started to give me work that I actually have to do, so no time to sit at work and write things, bring them home, then post in the evenings.

And what have they achieved by this?

I'll tell you what, they've taken away my audience, and stiffled my creativity!

Now I'm not sure if I've spelt stiffled correctly. I mean it with a hard 'I' not a soft one...

So, what's the solution?

Well, there are 'other forums' but again, given the workload, I wouldn't have time to get known their, and then they probably wouldn't quite understand the unique brand of crap that I spout.

So Iv'e done something else. I've been going to a writing class in order to give me some direction, and hopefully find a home for all of those stupid things I like to share.

They don't know what they're getting into... though, do I?

Why don't you post some of your episodes here then?

I've not written on here for a good while... but still kept writing.

Currently writing episodes for an animated series called Captain Catering and the Mighty Monkey, a spoof superhero/stingray/thunderbirds sort of feel to it, saving the world from such evils such as Pat Sharpe and Errol Brown, lead singer of Hot Chocolate.

Then my other project is about Grix Thraves, Leon, Renna and Seiyo, still no title for it, but -still- working on it.. must get a first draft finished.

All the same, keep writing, damnit..

I'll certainly keep reading things on these forums, and posting when I can, because I like to.

But yes, it is a good thing.

That seems like a step in the right direction Meka. Perhaps the person who takes the classes may also be able to tell you where you could send your work to so that it may be read by a larger audience.
