It was not me and if you match the stats you will see that.

Unless anyone has failed to notice somebody felt the need to impersonate me this morning, in numerous threads across the forums. If they had used the name then fair enough, but they also used my tagline SDTAGW, which is proof enough that the intent was malicious.

They have made numerous statements, all of which I find to be offensive and in some cases slanderous.

What is more this person was Insane Bartender, a supposed notable.

He has even admitted it saying it was a joke.

Here is a post made by the impostor

Here is a post made by IB before the name change to verify it was him - the stats match

SR has previously banned members whom maliciously impersonated staff and users, though I doubt that this will be the case.

I do not expect Mr Snuggly to do stuff all, after all he's played a part occasionally.

The rules of the forum, that staff are so apt to refer to, state:

PLEASE NOTE: These chat forums are viewed by children, so no bad language will be tolerated. Should you post foul or offensive language, your posts will be deleted and you will be removed from the system. If you persist in swearing, you will be banned. Posts entered entirely in capitals will also not be valid, please use lower case text. Do not illegally boost your word count by quoting other users' posts without adding anything. We reserve the right to ban users from contributing to any part of the site, whether it be for swearing, copying, bullying, spamming or advertising other websites, or any other action we feel inappropriate. Linking directly to illegal downloads ie. music/films will not be tolerated and users may be banned if they persist in doing so.

What he has done is inappropriate and repeatedly, even after being asked to stop.

They are most certainly foul in some cases, all offensive to me.

They contains numerous all CAPS messages.

It most certainly is bullying.

Most certainly spamming.

Of course he's a notable, you'll do stuff all, but I feel other forums users should see what happens when certain people decide they don't like you and your opinions, and how the staff - at least Snuggly - turn a blindeye to it.

Should no action be taken all forum users should not that they can now;

1) Relentlessly name call and abuse anyone they wish, constantly, including staff so long as no swear words are used.
2) You can impersonate anyone, including staff, as long as you find a way to do it.

Have fun, and this won't be the last of this...

I know what he posted because it came up when people quoted.

And people knew it wasn't you.
IB made it VERY obvious, because no one would say anything as stupid as that. And he admitted it was all him without once pretending that it was really you.

It just wasn't meant to be taken seriously.
I know that's easy for me to say, me not being the butt of the joke, but still, you'd walk away with more dignity taking it in good humour than getting wound up about it.

Just a suggestion. :-)

Exactly, you say "apparently" and I doubt you saw the full scope of what IB posted because much of it was deleted by staff.

Loads of the people commenting on this haven't seen it all nor followed it in the life forum over the past months. There is no "rest of the gang" for starters...

I simply did these topics in the forums where IB had been active to ensure people knew it wasn't me, as Azul says, to be informative.

Very true.

One of the funniest conversations I ever had in real life began with why semi skimmed milk tastes funnier when it's gone off than fully skimmed when it's gone off, and ended with something combining with how many times Superman'd be able to fly round Earth in 10 seconds, and Bill Gates.

Hmmm.
You'd have to have been there, really.

That happens in real-life though.

Convo starter: My friends new car

Convo finisher: Why is Bin Laden still on the loose.

I love how, when something is posted on these forums, the topic changes utterly and completely.

From an informative post about how Bell's name had been nabbed, and that it wasn't him who'd been posting the, agreeably comical, posts that day, to arguing about ingrediants, and smoking.

How on Earth do you people do it?

That's a fair point.

Some addictions are more dangerous than others, mainly because chocolate is so much easier to get hold of than heroin, and if someone mugged someone for chocolate then the "bounty" would last a lot longer buying chocolate rather than a days supply of heroin so choco addict attacks ARE a lot less frequent... :-)

In all seriousness, yes, drugs CAN lead to dangerous addiction, but for most drugs, especially the lighter ones like Cannabis, 95% of users are fine with it, and if they're not, the chances are that they weren't fine to begin with, and addiction won't have helped but won't be the sole cause either.

People get addicted to all sorts of things which can be bad for them.
You can't ban them all. Instead, you teach the population how to use them moderately, and take extra measures to help the people who can't handle them.

Society used to come out with all sorts of slogans and anti-drug propaganda that was so over-exadurated, the kids ended up dismissing most of it as a load of bull. It solved nothing.

Nowdays you go to youth centres and the posters don't say "Don't do drugs." they say, "This is what this drug is, why you might like it, what it does to you, why we recommend you don't use it but if you DO take these pre-cautions so that any risks will be minimised.".

So you make the choice, to risk it or not.
Judging people and thinking that there is only ONE way to live a life won't go down well with people though.
So I say live and let live. :-)

PS Goaty, Light and the rest of the "gang" don't mind you having opinions, but you do ask for teasing when you get wound up over theirs, or "apparently" (I say apparently because I've not followed your arguments with them so only have other people's word on it) refused to admit being wrong, even when proved or something...

I don't know, but there was no need to get IB banned over this...

Yeah, but whoever notices the ingrediants on a packet of cereal? Nobody, again. So are we now to assume that they harbour dangerous oxides?

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
