I read one soundbite from a hard-of-thinking woman saying, in all seriousness, that "we shouldn't hold it against the dog; it's not it's fault that it was trained to do this and it is not a nazi"

Uhh...would anyone seriously have thought it was!?! Is there a canine translation of Mein Kampf around that I'm not aware of?

This is quite an old story actually. I think it's just resurfaced because the case has gone to court. Why couldn't he train it to do something useful, like open doors, or answer the phone?
