Had a chance to hear the album, Vehicles and Animals, over the weekend. I know, I'm catching up.

Anyway, it was pretty good. Not sure what I was expecting, but this is better that I thought it would be. All the songs are pretty catchy and different enough to set it apart from the rest of the Brit rock/pop stuff that is out at the moment.

Their style is pretty unique, mainly because they diversify so much between guitar and electronic sounds, mixing rock with dance beats and even casio keyboards (final track).

My favorite songs on the album are the title track, Vehicles and Animals, and Dungeoness, two of the slower tracks. It's the lyrics that first got me interested and ther tunes tend to stick in your head for a long time afterwards.

I think they're cool if you don't take it seriously. It's a good album to listen to when working.

Possibly the dullest band this country has ever produced. Absolute chore to listen to, had the misfortune of catching the start of their set at Glastonbury and had to leave before middle age set in.
