Germany 3-0 Iceland
Scotland 1-0 Lithuania

Cheers to the Germans for this, although we still don't forgive them for their atrocious diving when we played them at the Westfalenstadion. :-)

Anyway, that's both Scotland and Wales confirmed for the playoffs, and England currently at 0-0 in Turkey.

Republic of Ireland, however, seem to have blown it. They're losing 2-0 away to Switzerland, while Russia, who need to lose as well as the Irish needing to win, are 3-1 up on Georgia. Unlucky, Ireland.


Winners and playoff qualifiers so far confirmed:
Group 1:
AUTOMATIC - France
PLAYOFF - Slovenia

Group 2:
Both places unconfirmed.

Group 3:
AUTOMATIC - Czech Republic
PLAYOFF - The Netherlands

Group 4:
AUTOMATIC - Sweden
PLAYOFF - Lativia

Group 5:
AUTOMATIC - Germany
PLAYOFF - Scotland

Group 6:
Still unconfirmed, but only Greece or Spain can get either position.

Group 7:
Same as above, with Turkey and England being the two teams.

Group 8:
AUTOMATIC - Bulgaria
PLAYOFF - Croatia or Belgium, but so far unconfirmed.

Group 9:
Same as groups 6 and 7, with Italy and Wales being the two teams.

Group 10:
AUTOMATIC - Switzerland
PLAYOFF - Russia

Fletcher is a genuine talent, and this proves that he can compete at a high level. Shame he's not English! :D

He could go far at United, though; He's a great player, and is able to play on the left as well as the right.

He said that scoring that goal that sends your team into the European Championships (...or the Play-Offs, anyway) was something you dream about as a boy, but he never thought it would be a dream-come-true.

Should be a nice little confidence-booster for the 19-year-old (just so long as he doesn't now get hyped-up like Wayne Rooney!). Hopefully, Fergie will continue to play him on the right-wing, with Solskjaer injured and David Beckham still "un-replaced".

Romania somehow managed to score 21 goals, while the nearest in their group had about 14, yet they still went out, due to results against Norway.

Ah, thought Romania went through, but it looks like Norway got the better results.

I think Scotland would want to avoid the likes of Holland, Spain and Turkey. I think Scotland would like to play Slovenia or maybe Wales.

Latvia sounds like a easy team, but after knocking out Poland and Hungary and nearly topping the group by beating Sweden. It seems like nobody would like to play them, as they could do what Senegal did in the world cup.

I'd love to see Spain, Holland and Turkey playing each other.

Wales through to the playoffs as well- 3 home nations could be competing!

Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Who cares if Scotland are in the playoffs? They could well be knocked out!
