At the moent I would go with Robot Wars, I mean there are loads more competitors they are on the 4th generation and the machines could obliterate a PS2...literally!! But the machines do cost a bit more than the back pocket change of £300 for the 'best console' going but then again there are some robots that cost £100 but that still doesn't beat the value of the Dreamcast at £98.99...:o)
The peripherals for the robots are amazing, you talk about the metaphorical 'arsenal and weaponry' that Sony, Ninty and Microsoft are bringing but if there is a 'Sir Killalot' Next to a PS2...the PS2 better grow legs and fast cause it sure as hell won't grow a 9 inch chain-saw!
So at this moment in time, I think the robot wars are your best bet and these games comapnies better make sure that Snake, Mario and Sonic get to the dance fast because time is running out....well at least it would be if this was serious!
