There is no way Vassell and Heskey are donkey's. Heskey USED TO BE overrated, but now he is under-rated. Heskey can hold the ball up well and has loads of strength (as proved against Arsenal when he poweres Campbell off the ball).

Heskey can also score goals when given the chance. If Heskey stayed up front all the while, and was provided the service like Owen is, then I wouldn't back against him scoring the same amount of goals as Owen.

But Heskey isn't like that. He likes to come back and help England when under attack and usually ends up winning the ball.

Okay, Vassell might not be playing well for his club and scores only scored 10-15 goals a season for Villa, but when he playes for England he plays much better and livens the crowd up. He is fast and is known for his trickery on the ball. He has proved that he can be a England regular by scoring 4 goals in 7 or 8 games, which means that he has the best goals to games ratio.

He is also the 3rd leading goalscorer for England (from January 2002).

The only 2 in front of Vassell are Owen (10 goals) and Beckham (7 goals)

My only worry is that Houllier would change our new-found attacking policy; I firmyl believe this is the way forward. We haven't had the expected results in the past 2 games, but they're simply teething problems.

Well im fighting for promotion again in Div 1 - Woo :D

Arsehols did play well in the 2nd Half but the scouser's should have blown them away in the first half and simply lost steam in the second half - so it's their own fault for not scoring more goals and got punished for it.

I'll say it for him - Arsenal were the better team in the second half.

.. and Virtuoso. It was obvious I am a women as I am no good at this and I've slipped into the second division. Oh, wait .... :)

Once again, luck plays a BIG part in another 3 points for Arsé-ole Wenker's French legion!

Missing some big players through injury... Looking like a one-man team at times... And totally out-played by LIVERPOOL throughout the whole of the first-half.... Yet they still managed to take the 2-1 lead!! :P

Really, Liverpool should've been 3-0-up EASILY before the half-time whistle! And they then could've grabbed another goal-or-two in the second-half... If only Michael Owen was really as-good as all Scousers seem to think he is...!

But for once, I have to admit I was impressed with the performance the injured-striker put in, at Anfield. I've never been one to believe all the hype and speculation that surrounds him, thanks to the media; but he really did look as "deadly in the box" as many claim him to be, on Saturday - even though he still lacked polish on his "finishing-touch".

Since Alan Smith is never gonna be recalled playing for a club like Leeds, and Eriksson is content with picking donkey's like Heskey and Vassel to "fill-the-gaps" in his England squad, I think we REALLY will need Michael Owen fit and raring-to-go on Saturday if we must stand a chance of even scoring against the Turks! :S

I could never call him a "savior" for our national-side or anything, but every-ball David Beckham's been whipping-in of late appears to have been going straight to his head and into the back of the net! And I saw the same thing happen at Anfield against Arsénal - his "hunger" seems to defy all odds, considering the fact that he's "short"!
