In a bid to encourage original thoughts and ideas, I propose the following challenge to all users of this forum:

From midnight tonight - Friday 2nd March 2001 - until midnight on Friday 30th March 2001 (that's exactly four weeks), no REGULAR contributor to this particular forum shall post ANY message (either in a new or existing thread) relating to "The Console Wars".
You may discuss the pros and cons of any machine on its own, but there is to be nothing along the lines of "Console X is better than Console Y because..."
Any threads started by 'newbies' on such subjects are to be ignored, tempting as it may be. So that we don't appear to be rude, you may direct them to this thread so that they understand what's going on. Any 'newbie' replies to existing Console Wars threads are to be treated similarly.
This appies to this Forum (The Future Of Gaming) only - what you post anywhere else is up to you.

There have been few discussions serious 'future of gaming' issues...
What would people would like hardware-wise in future machines?
What features from current machines (if any) would you like to see carried over to future consoles?
Sega are ceasing production of home console hardware at the end of March, and will be producing for once-rival platforms. Assuming that their games are successful on those platforms and that their profits return to previous levels, will they return to the home console hardware market?
Just a few of the potentially interesting and (hopefully) non-slanging-match discussions that could be had with a little thought and effort. I'm sure other people can think of more similar, better topics!
"Mine's better than yours" has got tiresome... surely I can't be the only one who fancies a change - even if only for a month?! (Elsewhere on these forums, even the might Sniper seems to be sick of it...)
