WHAT DO YOU WANT?

No, this thread has absolutely NOTHING to do with the silly circus that has become the "X-Box vs. PS2 vs. Dreamcast vs. Gamecube" debate. This topic isn't about any of that, and I'll become rather cross if that occurs in the slightest bit. It's time to abandon these imaginary, patently ridiculous fealties to one company or another. Why should we care who wins the upcoming console wars as long as there's a load of new and entertaining games to accompany the chaos?

This thread is about things WE, as gaming enthusiasts, WANT. Would you like a game based on this book or that one? Is this movie ripe for a good online, multiplayer game where people from around the world shoot (or hack) each other for the sheer, puerile enjoyment of it? Would you like to see if you, yes YOU, could miss that freakin' iceberg? I mean, I want concepts, game mechanics, online capabilities -- anything you believe would make for the most entralling gaming experience imaginable, or is simply some guilty pleasure that you'd love to have realized.

I'll begin with my own:

A GUILTY PLEASURE
Simply put, I'd like someone to buy up the rights to all the Atari and Intellivision games, then release them all on one game disc. No enhanced graphics, no switch to a 3D, texture-laden environment, just the games as they were. ALL OF THEM. I want Pong, for crying out loud; I want Night Stalker; I even want that lame E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial game that Atari had. Bring 'em on, I'll buy 'em up.

That's mine, what's yours?

I agree we should be able to buy all the retro games on one disc, it would help console sales too! Imagine if Sega released all there Master System and Megadrive games on one or a few discs for the Dreamcast...imagine how many people would buy it, they could charge £40 and it would be worth it!

Okay, I've just noticed that there's already a Topic like this regarding "New Game Ideas". Fine then, blast it--almost thought I was being original but no, the forum has to beat me to it I see. Still like my introduction to it though, despite this not being AT ALL original.
