Have to use it for 4 days until Engineer comes and fixes my cable modem!!!!

Somehow i doubt that.
I am connected at 576 Kbs and I see the posts before the 56k'ers have actually posted them.
The connections here at uni are dial up.
I'm meant to have a 56k modem in my laptop but I can only connect at 33.6k EVERY time...
Maybe they lied? Or the connection is crap...
Still though, to connect at the same speed everytime must mean somethings not right, there's either a limit on the connection speed through NTL or the modem is 33.6k.

He probably does actually, because I do.
Say it takes 5 seconds for his post to be displayed on his computer. On mine it takes a fraction of a second, to if I refresh the screen at exactly the right time, I'll see his post before he's even properly posted it.

That is ok for u but if broadband brokee down for me I only get to use 28.8k!!!
And after it did several times I was amazed on how fast 28.8k was.!
