As some of you may be unaware of the greatness of Viz, or just have never read it, I here enclose some of the best letters sent to Viz.

"My girlfriend doesn't mind me farting in bed, it's when I follow through that the petty arguements start"

"The ford advert featuring cartoon legends Tom and Jerry claims that the new mondeo is 'the safest place to be'. Bo**ocks. Any vehicle that can allow a small mouse to climb into the exhaust and navigate its way into the car through the cigarette lighter clearly has some major safety flaws."

"Might I suggest that Tony Blair asks the UN to send the judges for the European City of culture 2003 to baghdad immediately. If they can find evidence of culture in Liverpool, then locating weapons of mass destruction in Iraq ought to be a piece of pi**"

"As a daily mail reader, I'm all for tightening Britains Lax Immigration Laws. So I was delighted to see the new policy of suspending them in a perspex tank above the thames. Let this be a warning to the rest of them, britain is no soft touch .... well done Tony Blair!"

"My local hospital has a sign that says 'This way to accidents and emergencies'. Haven't patients in hospital got enough problems without seeking out further misfortune and misery?"

"Don't be lured into buying a skoda simply because they're humble enough to admit they used to build wonky cars. They still do"

many more but can't remember/be arshed to post them at the moment.

Viz - The Sewer Trash.

It's crude, it's infantile, it's downright insulting.

I like it. :o)

The letters page is home to some absolute gems like those you quoted.

I don't really have a favourite character trhough, they all seem to have their moments. I was a big fan of Billy the Fish back in the day though. Terry F*witt and Big Vern were also favourites of years gone by.

In recent times I think that some of their articles and mock ads have been better than the cartoons, though I haven't bought it in some time.
