YOU SEE? Just as Sony have more than enough PS2's to cover the high demand, the Dreamcast sales go up because of the low supply (and price), and PS2 demand falls - the price is TOO high and we all know it.
I've just seen that a certain website are offering the PS2 with Tekken Tag as a free game - so its £300 for a console and a game. It'll be £250 with a game soon, and I bet this will happen by Easter - maybe Sony have the rest of Lent to give up ripping their customers off.

Wouldn't buy one if GC was cheaper.
Of the current set/new crop of consoles, the PS2 is the only one I knew I didnt want...
Although if they shifted the price down to 199.99, I might start to consider it...
But if they dont make the price change until the same time as the X-Box or GC release, it wont stand a chance...

Anyone having problems getting a PS2 ? Pop over to germany. They are collecting dust over there. I went there 2 days before x-mas and they had loads on the shelves.
You think PS2 is expensive here ? If you think that PS2 costs exactly the same in Germany, but average wages are about 1/3 lower that here and cost of living is about half....

Sony wo't do it just yet. As it is, PS2's are sold out 100% in Japan and America, and they're v. scarce here. They're selling as fast as they're made! So why drop the price yet.
My bet is that they will drop the price in one of 2 times. Either Summer when games sales are always low, or Xmas to make sure that they sell loads with all the other console that are coming out at the time and later!

Still expensive purchase when you can still get cheap N64's and DC's second hand with games for £150 at least.
