I was recently told by a newbie that I seem to be the leader of the forum... but he had only been on the forum for a few days. That certainly wasn't enough time to start discovering our characters properly...
So it led me to a conclusion.
In life, there is the body, and the mind.
Usually, the body works as a kind of advertisiment for the mind... which is what the person should be interested in, but I doubt many of the men here are interesting in anything less than the body... :D
But those rules, of course, don't apply here at all.
Our mind is torn straight out, and put on screen... no body to advertise for us... just raw facts of who we are...
Or is it?
The only other presense of us... is our name.
So, what IS in a name?
Does it affect peoples judgememt? Does it affect our view of them?
Obviously names like SeXi_BeIsT are going to make us weary of it's occupant mind...
Does your username make you feel more intelligent? Does it show people your real perception of yourself? WHY did you choose the name you use?
My name, I think, stands out for it's quiet absurdity, and puts the word *intelligent* straight into the naive newbies fingers, for that reason alone.
Other names, such as Meka_Dragon, and Wookiee Monster also have dominance because of their name... they are original, and long.
Also, names are a statement of ourselves as well... such as the way we dress, or our confidence of ourselves.
There is a difference between cocky, (WeLl_HuNg), and quiet confidence... mind.
:-)
I'm not sure why it's better than the other names, it just seems more appropriate.
Mind you, it's not just names we judge on.
The types of topics posted, and the quality of English goes a long way towards forming an opinion of you all for my dossier.
Names/meanings/hidden messages...
"What do you mean hidden messages?"
Mine contains one!
"Oh my god!"
(Talking to your brain is one thing... actually talking to yourself though is quite bizzare.)
(Damn straight.)

I've never heard of him.
