Sick of this stupid MS optical mouse..crap for gaming and the thing is crap and just doesn't seem to point well at all, anyone recommend me a gaming mouse that won't jump around and that is a decent optical mouse? Cheers!

You can even overclock your mouse port, so that the refresh rate is 200Hz instead of 125Hz...

The signal is digital, so it's not 100% continuous. The faster its refresh rate is, the smoother its movement will be.

My SR mouse has served me well. Though it moves left slightly sometimes if I leave it.

That makes no sense at all.

Surely the mouses movement is just electrical impulses sent to the computer which the computer interprets. How can a movement become jerky and miss frames?

Nope it really does make a BIG diffrence, for instance when I had my functional Creative wireless mouse any fast movements in FPS games confused the mouse and it missed frames and only managed to catch the beginning and end of the movement meaning that there were far too many embarrassing moments in UT2004...

That is when I introduced myself to the splendidly gorgeous MX510...

That is the best value gaming mouse out there, anything else is overkill and can blind you with its Ultra intense laser/phase change LED, also all other mice cause your PC to crash and burn out the power supply due to over powered Ultra intense laser/phase change LED...

You see the point here is get the MX510

Im a happy and successful UT2004 player thanks to my perfectly contoured MX510

Everyone knows Razer make the best gaming mice, they practically nail every reward going. Get the Diamondback or Claw. Overclockers have them all.
