Musings being a loose term for me and a film mate having an argument. So help solve this. I ask for your help again. He accepted your opinion over Fellowship and Two Towers. Because I was right.

So, we've discarded Star Wars (to probably fanboy anger) because it's not all that, Die Hard narrowly missed the cut because of Die Harder, Matrix, SW prequels (as if) and LotR aren't complete yet, Austin Powers and American Pie are OK, but pale in comparison to the greats, so...

Is Back To The Future or Indiana Jones the greatest trilogy of all time? I say Back to the Future, he say Indy. Go on, prove me right.

(Stryke would like to acknowledge that he thinks Indy and Die Hard miss out by a thread. He would also like to acknowledge LotR will be a serious contender to Bt2F. Matrix won't be - although Reloaded was good, I am not slamming it. Star Wars isn't better than all the aforementioned trilogies, except the APs. The prequels are laughable).

Oh yeah, and by all means say if you think I'm wrong. Cue Star Wars fanboys. Always some white boy gotta invoke the holy trilogy.

Hitch-hikers. The amazing 5 book trilogy. (hey, that's how it was sold).

Ok, so its a book series and not a film...but, hey.

Filmwise, I'd have to say the Star Wars trilogy, because even though the current films aren't as good, the original trilogy rises above them.

I said Star Wars ealier, I think. If that doesn't count, probably Indy, with Die Hard and BTTF just behind (yes, even though I dislike the third film, I still believe the trilogy as a whole kicks bottom)

Nah, I meant the best trilogy. I always prefer the 1st one. It has Johnny B Goode and the most Biff.

The best BTTF? I like 2... but each time I watch them I change my mind. 1 is probably the better film, but 2 is still amazing to me. 3 sucked big, western balls. Indeed.

Apart from Aliens (from when it was only a trilogy), Evil Dead 2, Dawn of the Dead, Hellraiser 2/3 (once again when it was a trilogy) and Austin Powers 2.
