AFI ARE the greatest band of all time and their newest album ['sing the sorrow'] has just backed up that point. My Favorite song by AFI has to be 'Miseria Cantare' or 'this time imperfect'

They are on my list of bands to check out. Girls not grey is a good song. I'm always getting AFI mixed up with AMEN for some reason...

To be honest 'Sing The Sorrow' isn't that amazing. Some good tracks, but too few stand out in my opinion. 'Death of Seasons' is very good along with a handful of others. I must check out some more of their older stuff at some point. From what I've heard, earlier material is more straight up punk / hardcore, as opposed to delving into the gothic side of things...

Yeah, their older stuff is more punk. Like 'Total immortal' that IS amaaaazing!!...But i do prefer their newer stuff as i am more gothic myself.

AFI are pretty good to be honest. Went to see them at Reading against my will, but really enjoyed it. I like a few of their songs, but couldn't really get into them by listening to an album, they just put on a really good live show.

I did hear they put on a great performance. I think the greatest thing about their music is the way Davey Havok can put his emotions into a song and it's like exactly how we all feel and they are one of the only bands which have this ability and i respect them fully for that.

Yeah, you can instantly tell when someone is putting their all into what they're doing and he certainly did that, it's what I enjoyed most about their performance.
