I still believe that the game will be a success. It is probably the best looking game ever created, and that can be confirmed in any video clip you see. Its flaw was said to be the gameplay, and whilst I agree that it may not be the most amazing game in that category, I do not believe it can be totally dismissed as poor.
I went to IGN tonight, and looked at some of movies in the huge selection they have there. Obviously a great deal of these clips were from the sequnces outside of the gameplay, but when looking through them carefully I discovered a number of in-game clips, which I found pleasantly surprising. After reading about the game in a review by Daily Radar, I was expecting to find a game where all you can do is punch kick and throw where all characters performed in a similar way. I was wrong.
I suggest that if you have time, you go to IGN, and select the Bouncer, and then look at this movie: "Starting a fight in the subway". There are other good bits such as the one by the fountain, but this movie showed me some very impressive action. The fighting may not be up to the standards of games such as the Tekken series, but those games are totally based on fighting in a confined arena, not moving through varying locations, with a large number of characters on screen. After viewing a large number of the films, I have to say that I was beginning to forget my worries about the game.
I now think that every part of this game looks stunning, and that it has sufficiently good gameplay to make this title really worth getting.
"No, it does in fact surpass all expectations, we are totally mind blown". Well, it was`t quite in those words, but something similar. I really hope they`re right!
