With the year 2000 gone and being one of the best years for gaming with classics such as Shenmue,Driver 2 and Jet Set Radio,is 2001 going to be a classic or just a waste of time,well if you look at the highlights of this year i think we may just see a better year than last,well maybe.Here i have constructed a list of high points of this year to come....Happy gaming
Metal Gear Solid 2
-the obvious choice for this year.Solis snake makes a come back in what is set to be one of the best games ever,with its amazing visuals and gameplay whcih will be unmatched,surely this will be a classic.If you ask me Konami has got another number 1 game here and it is going to take the gaming market by storm.
Gameboy Advanced
-When i say the origibal gameboy was the most popular gaming device ever ,you would say,NAHHHH surely its the playstation well your wrong,And now Nintendo is releasing its younger brother the Gameboy Advanced,It now pocesses 32 bit and the games look wicked.Mario Kart will be a high light,just imagine linkinh up with 3 other oners to play in one of the best racing games ever and yes you can still arry it around with.This is an absoute hit.Without a shadow of a doubt.
Virtua Tennis 2
-yesone of the best sports game of last year ets a sequel and guess what boys,it now has ladies.Not alot is known about this must have title except that it will have some lovely ladies in.They have promised that the graphics will be improved as well as the gameply,that to me sounds a bit hard toi improve on faultless gameplay,those who have played the original will know what i mean.A classic in the making.
Banjo Tooie
-the cutest of all characters is coming back and they are now allowed to be alone so no more bird and bear combo's.The worlds are set to be beautiful as well as huge and the gameply is also going to be magic(well that is the same as the original)Overall another adventure classic for the N64
Gran Turismo 3
-The best racing game ever gets the 128bit treatment and from footage shown it looks absolutely awesome.They still manage to put over 100 cars in this game,with the amount of detail they put into the cars yu would of though there would be less.Te tracks look perfect in fact everything looks perfect.This will be a number 1 hit for SONY when it launches.
Sonic Adventure 2
-the hedgehog makes a comeback in what is set to be one of the greatest events in gamin this year.The first one was special but this one will positively rule.The demo which came with PSO absolutely rocked and showes that the Dreamcast can still make better looking games than The ps2.It will boast better gameplay and some truely stunning levels..I for one cant wait.
Black and White
-this has been in the making foe ages and it was meant to be out last year but due to tweaking will launch this year.It looks awesome where you play like God and control a tribe.the possibilities are endless and looks set to redifine gaming.It is basically coming out on every format under the sun so everyone will get a taste on what it feels like to be GOD.Sounds brilliantmoney has it,that is will knock your socks off.
Tomb Raider-Film
-I know it isnt a game but it looks wicked and has a fit woman in it,angelina joile is HOT!.Tomb Raider turned into a film should be an excellent action adventureIf it is pulled off right.It will be one of the filming highlghts of this year.
Pokemon Gold/Silver
-The little fellas are coming back and with new adventures the already smash hit game gets an almost flawless sequel.All those who played the original will want this,You know why well because it has new Pokemon.Collecting will commence in the summer.Roll on Pikachu.
The Geatway
-PS2 answer to the increadible MSR,with some amazing graphics and some great gameply must make this another ps2 winner.this is driver for the millenium with its ulta real london setting must make this one to watch.

-In what i call the greatest game ever i was amazed by the best graphics ever,the best story line ever and the best gameply ever,yes folks the story continues as ryo explores even further to find his fathers kiler.It will boats better graphics(yeah righ like thats possible)and better control system.They said it will be out at the end of the year in this country becuase they will use subtitles,well cant get everything in life.Look out for the best game ever part 2...
If you are wondering why i haven't mentioned the Gamecube or the XBox this is becasue there is a huge doubt in my mind that they will get released this year...but they are certainly looking spectacular.Here is another list of games to watch.

-Wipeout Fusion
-Head Hunter(my tip for one of the best games this year)

Well does anyone feel that DVDs could play an important part in the future of games. What with the Final Fantasy and Tomb Raider Movie soon to be released maybe when they are released on DVD there could be extras such as a mini Tomb raider game or maybe you can in someway alter the course of the film depending on your actions in the game. Also by watching the film, it could in assist you in the game. With the PS2 carrying DVD capibility it could very well be possible.
