Oh my, that looks awful.

I dunno it could be great, as long as its not some short assed quicky (what's the betting that it will be - *sigh*)

I dont understand why they have made it a side-scrolling game, they might aswell do it in 2D.

There's not much you can say about a side-scroller from a few pictures.
'cept no-one does them better than Ninty.

I haven't played a good properly new Mario side-scroller in too long.

That looks terrible. Why can't they make another game like mario 64 ds.

They did...Super Mario Sunshine and Nintendo were thanked with moans and groans.

Anyway, you can't really judge a sidescroller until you play it. Hell, if I did with Rolo the Elephant, I'd've never realised how good it is!

It's been too long since I've played a good sidescroller, and without a proper analogue stick the DS is a little unsuited to full-3d gaming.
What I think would be even better would be a Pandemonium style 3D environment, even if the gameplay was still 2D.
It would look a little less cheesy then, giving nice sharp 2D gameplay while still allowing for some gorgeous eye candy background. :-)
