League Cup Winners again!!! What a game though - What a game!! The sort of pressure we were put under was incredible, just three days after the Roma game aswell!! Birmingham were superb, I thought we would loose it through extra time but we stuck in there and gave it our all!!
Im just so pleased for Fowler to captain us to victory and of course Houllier to win his first trophy for the club - Here is the start of many happier things!!

Its great to have Phil Thompson back - He is a Liverpool man through and through. That was the biggest mistake Souness made while he was in charge getting rid of Thompson.
Houllier has worked wonders over the past couple of years, it seems to be paying off now, one cup down two to go and looking like a good bet to finish in the top three.

I reckon Liverpool will qualify for the champions league (third behind Arsenal I hope). It seems Sunderland are dropping off the pace a little and I can't see any other team coming with a good enough run to get involved.
I sincerely hope Liverpool make it a cup double by winning the UEFA cup. Two cups and a CL spot would mean a fine season for Liverpool. Gerard Houlier is doing a marvelous job there. I guess Phil Thompson is also having a big influence judging by the passion he shows on the touchline.

Just think Matty - we could well be celebrating like this twice more this season yet ;-) Not to mention a 3rd if we get our champions league place ;-)
