The weather adds extra twist to qualifying and the Championships

Mark Webber has taken pole position for the USA Grand Prix in horrible conditions. The rain was bucketing down and, of course, times were affected. The rain did give us what the neutral wanted, however.

Alonso pulled a lap out of the bag to be in the perfect place for the race. He produced the 3rd fastest time and needs to score at least 2nd place in the race to take the Championship to the final race. Firman didn't have much luck and starts the race in 18th. He could still win the Championship if Alonso doesn't get the 2nd place he needs or Firman scores some points.

The Constructors is also heating up nicely with Renault's cars both in points paying positions. Williams also have a chance of some big points with Ralf Schumacher in 2nd and Montoya might get some points from 13th. B.A.R are just off the points in 11th and 12th. McLaren and Jordan have a lot of work to do in the race as all 4 cars qualified lower than 15th.

Webber and Jaguar will be pleased with pole position as they need a good finish to avoid the wooden spoon. Ralf Schumacher could get himself back into the battle for 3rd in the Championship with a good result from 2nd. The Renaults of Alonso and Trulli are in dangerous positions with 3rd and 4th places on the grid respectively. Wilson could have been a serious title contender if the car had been more reliable and has a chance for more points from 5th. Jaguar will be even more pleased to see Pizzonia in 6th. Barrichello could put some misery on Toyota if he scores points from 7th and Irvine will be desperate to score points from 8th.

It's totally random the results. All I want from the participants is to post their thoughts on the results just so I don't feel alone. :)

Of course, everyone can post ways about improving it. I've got a few ideas.

Yeah, I'll probably do this again. If you are around for the signup, you are quite welcome to join. You are quite welcome to have Pizzonia if you want for the last couple of races. He doesn't have much to play for but at least you can be involved.

Of course, I'm looking to improve the service for next season...
