Just a thought...

Mabye I'm wrong but David Kelley's last communications don't suggest a man who is going to commit suicide.

However if he was going to discredit Blair's final reason to going to war, then surely there was a possibility of Blair being tried in the Hague for war crimes?

Is this enough reason for the MOD or whoever to 'step in' and do something we've all seen in movies? (you know what I'm implying).

The files almost being 'accidentally burnt' only re-inforces my doubt of the official account of events.

Can anyone assuage my fears on this matter?

Not just anyone, if it was not suicide then anyone to have done it this good is few nad far between, either a terrorist group - doubtful as Kelly isn't exactly a high profile target and what is the point in doing something you don't claim responsibility for ? - or an intel agency.

It almost certainly was suicide, but you never know.

It could have been anyone who had an interest in stopping the war for some reason. Not necessarily Iraqis.

Kelly killed himself in such a way that Iraqi's would be blamed for attempted to make the "murder" look like a covert government act to cover up evil doings, lies and monkey droppings.

Or did he?

Perhaps he did...

Not necessarily; if one were to take the ULTRA paranoid angle, one could argue that terrorists deliberately killed Dr Kelly in such a way that it would look like he was secretly killed by the government.

For the record, on the basis of the evidence I've read about, I'm pretty sure he topped himself. But I'll bet that a goodly number of conspiracy theories will keep floating around.

I agree, if it was going tobe terrorists they would use bombs and rocket launchers, anything that would make a big bang.

Nah, I find the notion that any Iraqi's were involved a little hard to believe. If you want to take revenge like that then the terrorist groups wouldn't do something like this, IMO.

And of course there is still rumours that the Iraqis had something to do with it as Britain and the USA did go to war with Iraq in the end.

There is some doubt, I believe, as to the true facts surrounding Kelly's death. The Assistant Chief Constable for Thames Valley has stated that they believe the suicide was caused by the painkillers Kelly took, but the pathologists initial report says the cause was the slash to his left wrist. At such a remote location, with little chance of being seen, it does seem strange Kelly would overdose and slash his wrists.

Wouldn't the painkillers cause faster blood loss because they thin a persons blood ? Even if he did take them with the intention of speeding his death, the overdose would have brought upon a coma.

But what to gain from his death, and who ?
