Get in at work feeling not bad... as it's Tuesday I go look at the shifts sheet to see what my new hours for 2 weeks away are.
What's this?
It seems my shift for this morning has been scored out and somebody else is in. Not only this but I'm now working tomorrow morning. So in my rage I get a bit of paper to write to my boss. I was going to make it long and nasty but cut it short to:
Next time you change my shifts can you let me know please.
Thanks
Sheepy or Craig as that is my name
So I talk to guy doing my job this morning for a bit, wish him a nice holiday and order a taxi home. Strip off and go back to bed.
So that's two hours wages down the drain, and a further hour tomorrow morning. Ahhh
It took me long enough to find this one and it sucks because I'm a damn good worker and get not one bit of bloody gratitude.
I'm working 10 out of the next 12 mornings
And one of the days off I'm driving at 9 and then have theory test
Of course though... I have it easy.
The last time I had a bike was 3 years ago.
PS> I was only winding you up .... jeez louise
How do you suppose I get there?
The public transport isn't operating yet
I can't drive or have a car
It would take 45min to an hour to walk there in dark
So screw you
why not take a limo? ;D
seriously though, you'd save by going on your push hog, you get ripped off working at those places enough without losing an hours pay before you even step in the door.
than-y-verry-muh'
I was in on Saturday for 9 hours... he wasn't in. I checked the shifts sheet and they hadn't been changed so I presume I'm in on Tuesday morning.
And you know the rest
I've already had two showers today and I haven't done anything
In all seriousness, that really wasn't fair if you were not told. I'd ask for the expenses in getting in to work.
Failing that, I would see about promoting yourself to "Supreme Manager". And then tell your boss what to do.*
