Well I haven't been on here for a while, so I thought I would post something up that seems very interesting, and I'm definitely going to be getting it when it's out.

Based on the 1979 crime movie; The Warriors. This game is being developed by Rockstar Toronto and it will be released in october sometime...knowing our luck the uk will get it early 2006, but let's hope not. Seeing as the gta people are behind this, and the game itself has a lot of potential, I really don't think that we'll be let down, especially with the amount of crimes and gangs in it.

If you are a great fan of the film, then you will be pleased to know that the game is being made very closely to the film, and you are likely to see all of your favourite gangs, such as the boppers, the turnball ac's, the rogues, the lizzies, the baseball fury's, the orphans, obviously the warriors, and many many more.

I am not sure about this, but apparently every gang will be in the game, and if that's the case, then expect there to be over 60,000 plus gang members in it. Needless to say, this'll be one hell of a challenge.

I'm not going to give much away for those of you who haven't seen the film, but in brief, the storyline is based on The Warriors getting wrongly accused of murdering Cyrus (Basically the senate of all new york gangs)by the rogues, and they have to get all of the way from The Bronx, up to their precious turf all of the way up in Coney island. However, the only thing stopping them is the police, and every other gang in new york. So, the main question is, are all of you "suckers" ready for this almighty struggle to get home? I know I am!

For those of you who are interested (Do I see hundreds of raised hands? I think so!), here is the official game website:

http://www.rockstargames.com/thewarriors/ - On the site, you will find some pictures, a brief outline of the story on the sites introduction, and also a trailer of the game.

Here is a bit of information on it as well, from http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/action/warriors/ and http://ps2.ign.com/objects/487/487650.html

Here is something extra about it from ign: http://ps2.ign.com/articles/612/612197p1.html

If you haven't already seen The Warriors, I would also highly recommend this movie, as it definitely has a "must see it to believe it" appeal to it, and in the vengeful words of Cyrus, "Can you dig it suckers?"

Hmm, it has a lot of potential though. It's definitely worked it's way to the top of my wish list. It's just a shame we have to wait quite a while for it.
