True. I watched a huge portion of the epic mini-series Roots on DVD this weekend. 3 double-sided DVDs, each with 2 hours on each side. Quite a trek, but it's actually really good if you ignore the dodgy 70s sets and awful sound quality. It tells the story of one African man's (Kunta Kinte) struggle to remember his ancestry after he's captured and transported to America to be a slave. It shows how after he dies, his relatives forget their roots and fear the white man. The last disc has the American Civil war and Klu Klux Klan on it. Gripping stuff.
The difference being that site doesn't exist... it's true though that loads of people use certain stereotypes to sell stuff though to certain markets though.

Hmm, so the first image I see on a black film site is a coloured person pointing a gun at me. Yes, it's going to do a lot to help stereotypes...
