Does anyone know of any firewall software that can be installed on a 133MHz processor. Ones i,ve seen need 150MHz at least. I know I should probally get a new one but I only need it for surfing and want to get broadband.

You don't need a firewall for broadband.

Or at all.

Yeah, but, I'm right.

ANYWAY

You don't want to be running a firewall on your windows computer, as they are a waste of time. I recommend scraping together a cheap computer and running Smoothwall on it.

Atari ST's operate at less than 1khz

You can run Linux on it and use that computer as a dedicated firewall, router etc... and do what u want on a faster PC, I'm afraid with broadband and a firewall your PC will not operate very smoothly at all

The thing with broadband is it has a habit of making you use your PC more and have more programs on it. A newer PC would solve all the problems.

I just think broadband on an old PC is a bit ambitious. I also think a firewall is a good thing.

Yeah, and the Amiga 1200 ran at 14Mhz, so there. Or was it 12?
