This film sooo didn't need to be made. For a start, most of the plot, set-pieces and characters were taken from other, better, films, and the special effects looked like something out of Sinbad. At one point it was so bad, I thought they'd taken a Lara Croft action figurine and done stop-motion with it! As Snuggly quite rightly pointed out, at least a straight half-hour portion of the film was ripped right out of Mission Impossible 2. The bit with the climbing, and the espionage and the sky-diving off the roof.

And it doesn't matter about which director does it either. The biggest problem was the content. It's like making Gordon Ramsey work in Mcdonalds. Great chef, but he's cooking burgers and fries. If they'd only invested in some good script writers and someone to figure out an original plot then the film might have stood a chance. However, as computer-game-to-film conversions go, this isn't too bad. The best example of this is when the film goes into slow-motion for no discernable reason. Kinda reminds me of when the games suffer from slow-down. But that's where the similarities end. She didn't fight any aniamals, I think she climbed a ladder somewhere in there once, and she had a gun. The archive footage of the Safari animals was funny though.

The games are good. The films suck. Enough said.

It wasn't actually the most suckiest film ever though. Bulletproof Monk still holds that particular accolade. If ever there was a benchmark for worst film ever, then surely it is the one about Stiffler and the Monk.

Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
